Summer school "Wave propagation in complex media"

The Summer school "Wave propagation in complex media" will take place at the Institute of Scientific Studies of Cargèse (Corsica) from 6 to 18 August 2012. Registration will be open soon.

The objective of this school is to present recent theoretical and experimental advances in the field of wave propagation in complex environments. The specific focus will be on the effects of disorder and nonlinearity since many aspects of these effects remain largely unexplored or not understood. The specific emphasis of this school will be to bring together the different scientific communities of wave physics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, mechanical/acoustical waves, water waves, and the community of applied mathematics in order to provide an assessment of the current state-of-the-art and stimulate discussion on some identifiable issues.
It is envisaged that this will encourage interaction and significant collaboration of mutual benefit.

Please see the web page of the School for more information.
