Postdoctoral position in the theory of Anderson localization of vector waves

A postdoctoral position is available at the Laboratoire de Physique et Modelisation des Milieux Condenses (Joseph Fourier University and CNRS, Grenoble, France). The research to carry out concerns Anderson localization of vector waves (light and elastic waves), relies on the random matrix theory, diagrammatic approaches and other standard methods of theoretical physics, and has both analytical and numerical parts. The balance between the latter will depend on the personal capacities and preferences of the successful candidate.

We are looking for a person with a PhD in theoretical or mathematical physics with a specialization in at least one of the following fields : random matrix theory, quantum and statistical optics, wave scattering in random media, condensed matter theory, statistical physics. The position can start anytime in 2015. The initial appointment will be for 1 year, an extension for the 2nd year is possible. Applications will be reviewed as received until the position is filled. Interested candidates should send a letter of motivation, a CV, a list of publications and e-mail addresses of at least 3 references to Sergey Skipetrov (Sergey.Skipetrov@lpmmc.cnrs.fr).
